It is time to start planning the 2015 long range shooting school at the VIR shooting club! Learn the basic fundamentals of long range shooting with an extensive classroom session and an afternoon on the range. We will cover just about everything you will need to know to go do it on your own. Maybe you just want a chance to shoot 1000 yards and check it off your bucket list! Either way, you will have great equipment, facilities and instruction to learn the art of shooting at distance.
After the classroom portion, which last about 3 hours, we will start shooting at the 500-yard line at the beautiful VIR range. We then will move to 800, 800 yard 90 foot tower, then to the 1000-yard berm. We get done when you are satisfied. Anybody wanting to shoot his or her personal long-range rifle can get with me at the end (only at the end) for leisure shooting. You will need to pack a lunch; I will have plenty of bottled water and a few sodas and snack cakes. I will have the rifles, ammo, hearing protection, mats, the best thermal scope, etc.
Class Date: July 25
Cost of class is $350.00 per student. Anyone under 16 will need a parent to attend also. I need a minimum of 5 students, (and a maximum of 9) to hold a class. This year I must have a deposit of $100.00 (non refundable) to hold a spot, way too many last minute drop outs in 2014. If not enough students are signed up for a class and it gets canceled, I will refund the deposit, or hold it until the next class if you wish.
Lets get together and do some shooting!
