Hyper-fest, “the Automotive Amusement Park”, is set to hold its annual motorsports festival next year on Saturday, May 2nd at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR), outside Danville, VA. The event will also partner up with the newly created Street Driven Tour, making Hyper-fest one of the largest motorsport events on the East Coast.
The 14th annual Hyper-fest will take place on VIR’s historic 3.27-mile Full Course, 1.1-mile Patriot Course, rally course, and karting track ensuring there is non-stop action at multiple locations within the venue.
“We selected VIR for Hyper-fest not only because it’s a world class racing venue located in the Mid-Atlantic, but also because we felt we had outgrown our previous location,” said Chris Cobetto, Event Director for the Mid-Atlantic region of the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) and creator of Hyper-fest. “We are very focused on our spectator and participant experiences. VIR offers premier amenities, on-site lodging, and is very conducive for large spectator crowds with over 1,300 acres.“
VIR Owner and CEO, Connie Nyholm said “VIR hosts a wide variety of racing events each year and the addition of Hyper-fest only adds to the value of entertainment we are able to provide our race fans. We are excited to host Hyper-fest next year and can not wait for May.”
Fans can purchase advanced tickets online at hyper-fest.com or VIRnow.com starting in January. Those looking to make it a full weekend at the track are able to purchase Early Bird tickets for an additional $10 that will give them access to the event on Friday afternoon which includes practice, qualifying, open paddock, and more. Children 12 and under are free. In addition, complimentary and premium parking will be available.
