Enjoy a weekend of blending the past and present while we celebrate VIR’s impressive history with the Racing America event Sept 17-20, 2026. Since 1957, VIR has hosted a multitude of fast-paced and diverse events that bring together all levels of motorsports enthusiasts.
Experience 850 hp Trans Am cars, classic Corvettes, Alfas, Porsches, Historic F.1 and Indy cars racing on this legendary track. Racing America @ VIR provides the opportunity to get up close to celebrated drivers, legendary race cars and much more. Racing America is an event for the whole family, so join us for the full weekend; one day won’t be enough! Racing America @ VIR features racers and cars from Trans Am, Sportscar Vintage Racing (SVRA), International GT (IGT), FR & F4.
Live Music at the Oak Tree Tavern
Join us Friday September 19 from 7pm – 9 pm for live music at the Oak Tree Tavern featuring the CC Coates band. Enjoy good eats and good vibes all evening.
Saturday, October 5
Be a part of the VIR SpeedTour weekend held at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR) in Alton, Virginia. The car show is open to all classic, vintage, exotic, and collectible cars and vintage motorcycles of interest. Car clubs are welcome.
Each $50.00 car show registration includes:
– 2 Saturday and Sunday tickets to the Vintage and Trans Am Races
– Touring laps for Saturday on the Virginia International Raceway in your show car
– Parking pass
– Full access to the race car paddock
